How Does It Work?

We’ve made booking your Pharmacy First appointment in Central London simple and seamless. Discover our three-step process below.

Step 1 - Schedule an Appointment or Walk-In

You can either schedule an appointment in advance using our booking system or if you are nearby, you can always pop into the pharmacy at a time that is convenient to you.

Step 2 - Speak To Our Qualified Pharmacists

During your appointment, the pharmacist will ask you a series of questions to help accurately diagnose your symptoms and provide you with the correct treatment

Step 3 - Receive Treatment

After your consultation, if appropriate, our pharmacist will provide you with the medication required to help you overcome the condition. If your consultation was online based, you will need to come to the pharmacy to collect your medication. For walk-in consultations, you can pick up your prescriptions right away.

Who is eligible for pharmacy first?

There are 6 primary conditions of eligibility for the pharmacy first service.

The service is free of charge under the NHS Pharmacy First scheme. It’s best to understand the age range provided for each service.

  1. Sore Throat: 5 years and over
  2. Ear Pain: 1-17 years old
  3. Infected Insect Bite: 1 and over
  4. Bacterial Skin Infection: 1 and over.
  5. Shingles: 18 years and over
  6. Sinusitis: 12 years and over
  7. UTI: 16-64 years
  8. Contraception is free for all ages.

The prescriptions provided by the pharmacist are chargeable unless you are exempt from paying for prescriptions. You also do not need to pay anything additional if you have a prescription prepayment certificate.

Appointments should only take a maximum of 20 minutes or less.

Absolutely, you can either book an appointment for an online consultation or you can visit us in the clinic at any time during our opening hours.

You can book an appointment using our online booking to see the pharmacist, but it is not mandatory to do so.
